Terms & Conditions of Service

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all services provided by ReadyLift. By booking or using our services, clients agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

"Company" refers to ReadyLift

"Customer" refers to the person booking the service

"Goods" refers to items being transported

"Service" refers to removals, transport, and related services

2. Booking & Quotations

All quotes are based on the information provided by the Customer

Quotes are estimates unless confirmed in writing as a fixed price

Any changes in job details may require price adjustments

Bookings are confirmed once agreed via message, email, or phone

3. Pricing & Payment

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job, unless agreed otherwise

Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer, or other alternatives

Additional charges may apply for:

Extra items not included

Additional floors

Access issues (stairs, long carry, parking restrictions)

4. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer must:

Provide accurate and complete information about the move

Ensure all items are packed appropriately unless packing service is requested

Arrange suitable parking and access at both locations

Inform the Company of any fragile, valuable, or unusual items

5. Delays & Waiting Time

Waiting time may be charged if delays occur beyond the agreed schedule

This includes delays caused by:

Access restrictions

Keys not available

Property not ready

6. Cancellations

Cancellations should be made as early as possible

Same-day cancellations may be subject to a charge

The Company reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances

7. Damage & Liability

The Company will take reasonable care when handling goods

The Company is not liable for damage caused by:

Poor packing by the Customer

Pre-existing damage

Fragile items not properly declared

Liability is limited to reasonable repair or compensation based on item value

8. Excluded Items

The Company does not transport:

Hazardous or illegal materials

Perishable goods

Cash or valuables (unless agreed)

9. Assembly & Disassembly

Basic furniture assembly/disassembly is included only if agreed

The Company is not responsible for:

Manufacturer defects

Resulting in damaged furniture

10. Access & Safety

The Customer must ensure safe access at both locations

The Company will refuse unsafe work conditions

11. Force Majeure

The Company is not responsible for delays or failure due to:

Traffic

Weather

Accidents

Events beyond responsible control

12. Complaints

Any issues must be reported within 24 hours of the job completion

We aim to provide a satisfactory resolution fairly and promptly

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
